Pastor Calvin McMullen is the founding pastor of The Word Community Church, formerly, Community Life Baptist Church, Milledgeville Georgia. Pastor McMullen is a native of Sparta, Hancock County, Georgia.

Pastor McMullen attended the public schools in Hancock County. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Political Science from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. He received his Juris Doctor degree in law from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. He has been a practicing attorney since 1985. He received his religious training from International Bible Institute and Seminary of Orlando, Fla.

He is currently completing his Doctor of Education Ministry at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, Ky. He has served as associate minister, director of a Bible Institute, and Pastor. His immediate past service was with Greenforest Community Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia as minister and Sunday school teacher.

He is the founding pastor of the Community Life Baptist Church, located in Milledgeville, Georgia. He teaches legal seminars for Lifeway Resources, Georgia Baptist Convention, and other groups. He is a history buff and he has a special passion for ancient Hamitic History. He is working on a book entitled “The Greatest Story Never Told”, chronicling people of color through civilization.

Pastor McMullen is married to Rebecca C. McMullen., PhD. Dr. Rebecca McMullen is a Professor at Fort Valley State University, Milledgeville, Georgia. The McMullens have been married since 1980 and are the proud parents of Kimberly, Calvianni (Yani), Calvin Jr., and Calli.
